Story Editing

By engaging in your project as a writer, Ela offers specific, creative input to solve story problems.  Benefit from having a skilled writer work in collaboration with you to develop and perfect your story while serving your vision.

Private story editing sessions are available only to writers who completed Ela's workshop because collaboration is easier with a shared set of tools. Exceptions are made for projects in pre-production where fees and credits are negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Ela does not offer coverage or development notes. Story editing sessions are billed at $100/hr. and additional reading fees of $1/page if there is a draft written.  No draft is necessary; using editing sessions in the pre-writing stages can save writers time and work in the revision process.

 

Due to the amount of creative input that story editing involves, Ela requires that she be credited as "story editor" if a script that she works on is produced.
